What surfaces can Polarcoat be applied to?
Polarcoat bonds to concrete, masonry, metal, GRP (fiberglass), and most existing coatings in sound condition. Surface must be clean, dry, and free of grease or loose material.
What is the minimum application temperature?
Polarcoat can be applied and will cure at temperatures as low as 23°F (-5°C), making it suitable for active cold rooms and freezers.
How long before the surface can be put back into service?
Light use is typically possible within 24–48 hours. Full chemical resistance is achieved after 14 days of cure. Always allow 48 hours before exposure to aggressive cleaning agents.
What is the coverage rate?
Coverage varies by surface porosity and texture. Refer to the Technical Data Sheet for specific coverage rates per coat and recommended number of coats.
Is Polarcoat food safe?
Yes. Polarcoat is approved for use in food contact environments including walk-in coolers, prep rooms, and processing facilities.
